Why We Stopped
Sorry...
Hey Boxonomist Crew:
You’ll notice we stopped sending after 15 editions… sorry about that. The reason is because our SEO agency took off (largely because of this group!) and it was all-hands-on-deck.
Because you were our OGs, I just wanted to give you some secret sauce:
1: Google LSA Ads. Get approved as a personal trainer on Google LSA (Local Service Ads). These leads are EXPENSIVE, but the nature of your business is recurring revenue so if you can land a good percentage of clients, it should be huge ROI in the long-term. LSAs are new and you could be one of the only people in your area doing them, which should be huge for you.
2: Local SEO (this is what my agency does). If you have the cash, get ChatGPT Deep Research ($200/m) and an SEO tool like SearchAtlas ($99/m). Use those tools to analyze you and your competitors’ ranking for local keywords (such as “Personal Training In Houston”), then craft blog articles and Google My Business posts around those keywords. Post 3x per week forever and your Google rankings will skyrocket. This, combined with consistent Google reviews, is probably the best long-term lead gen tactic you can do.
Additional info: More and more people are using ChatGPT as a search engine, so you’ll want to get indexed on it. ChatGPT search uses Bing, so you need make sure your gym is listed on Bing Places for Business. You need cohesive info between your Google, Yelp, Yellow Pages, Website, and Bing.
Since you’re my OGs, reply to this email if you want more help. We can probably take on ~5 more clients and I’d give you a big discount.
Once the craziness cools down, maybe we’ll get back to this newsletter and keep you updated with easy ways to grow your gym.
Cheers!
